Mix the flour with the baking powder, paprika and salt in a bowl. Finely chop the chives.
Add the chives, cream cheese and 1 ½ dl milk to the flour mixture and knead everything together using a food processor or by hand until you have a smooth dough.
With floured hands, divide the dough into ten portions. Shape them into round rolls and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Brush the rolls with 1 tablespoon of milk and sprinkle with hard cheese to taste. Bake in the oven at 200 degrees (fan) for 15–20 minutes until golden brown.

Tips
The herbs can be swapped depending on the season; for example, in spring, replace the chives with wild garlic.
For sweet rolls, swap the paprika, chives and hard cheese for a handful of raisins or cranberries and roughly chopped nuts.
For a vegan version, use plant-based cream cheese and plant-based milk, and vegan cheese instead of hard cheese.
The rolls turn out particularly well if you use herb or garlic cream cheese or other varieties of cream cheese.
